Because why not indeed? Why not this be my first public writing.

Watching a short video involving gay rights and Christianity, as the main topic, there was a comment that grabbed my attention. It read “your god stops where gay men start.” This lead me to finally write my thoughts on the topic of Homosexuality and Christianity.

At first I thought the comment was an atheist joke about god being defecated out of a man’s ass, where gay men penetrate. I then thought that doesn’t make sense but so do many atheists jokes when you break them down so I left it at that. Then I realized this wasn’t intended to be a joke but an unclever way to say that god gives rights to all but gay men.

Like most of atheists at the comman man level, what this commenter knows about Christianity is very limited to his modern perspective on religion, which has been slanted in opposition to Christianity. Claiming that gay men have no rights in Gods eyes, is foolish thinking. Firstly there are many who refuse to believe in God because of this, and use it as an excuse to continue their lifestyle. By that line of thinking, killers like the Apostle Paul and others in the Bible, should have remained killers and not follow God because God commanded us not to murder. Before going into this topic further, I will be primarily discussing male homosexuality rather than female homosexuality. Men and Women are similar in that it is same-sex attraction, but men and women are fundamentally different in how they attract and are attracted by a mate. In other words, women are more mature in their thinking when choosing a partner. So homosexuality in females involves a different discussion. I will highlight the part where my argument can also relate to female homosexuality with the words **WOMEN AND MEN** in bold.

Now some will retort saying then why would god create men that are gay and then oppose them? Implying that one is born with such a way of life that it can’t be the fault of their own.

The idea that homosexuality is something you’re born with is akin to thinking that the attraction to animals or children is something one is born with rather than something the person grew to like due to outside influence. Saying that is immoral or unnatural wouldn’t then have more people come out as this or celebrate this act. It certainly wouldn’t mean that it is okay either; it’s simply stating that this goes against the natural order of things whether one wants to believe it’s the order of God or the universe, it doesn’t matter.

Some say that there is proof of people being born gay. But the reality is genetics account for roughly 8–40% of the variance, with the rest tied to prenatal hormones, early brain development, and non-social environmental influences. “The largest genetic studies (hundreds of thousands of people) find no single gene; instead, hundreds/thousands of tiny genetic effects explain roughly 8–25% (up to ~34–39% in some twin estimates) of same-sex behavior, with the rest being non-shared environment + prenatal factors.”

This still proves my point, with two problems. One, that the 8 to 40% is predominantly in men.

As a non-professional analysis of the modern man, I and most of the western world agree that men are more hornier than women. This would account, non-scientifically, for the higher proclivity with men. At this point in our modern time, the fact that men are hornier is as solid a fact as water being wet. Men are the only ones who would gladly stick their penis in anything as long as it gives them pleasure. Multiple women despite already having a woman, animals, food sources, inanimate objects like socks or anything that has lubricant in the shape of a hole, even a hole in a wall with the promise of getting pleasure from it. And this list includes other men. One doesn’t just get the idea that this all naturally came from birth, just as having sex with a woman didn’t come from birth, even though it would have been self-evident after time. But even then it is due to the surroundings of the child that will affect their proclivities. The second problem comes when you look at the numbers by themselves: 8 to 40% and 8 to 25% are not the dominating percentage. And with the rest of those percentages being predominantly environmental, this again falls on its face.

This only becomes more true when you know, without even knowing, that men are far more prone to paraphilias such as zoophilia, sex with inanimate objects, other fetish behaviors, and of course pedophilia. So why is this taboo in the modern age to see this as another fetish fired through one’s environmental surroundings? I will talk about why later.

**WOMEN AND MEN** 
Two men can love each other; it’s clear today that this is common. But that is not how it started. Love had nothing to do with homosexuality’s beginnings; it only has ties to love due to the redefining of love and many other words in our modern time. This idea of redefined love they are experiencing is again due to social factors. Homosexuality starts off as curiosity but it is then embraced with acceptance and recognition, so much that the once curiosity turns into this redefined love. Due to the embracing surrounding cultures, this mentally changes the way that particular curiosity is viewed in one’s mind. So, again, instead of seeing it as a passing curiosity, it is changed mentally, and now socially, to be something akin to the love between a man and a woman. It’s no different than being in a culture that embraces something that is seen as wrong or immoral in our own culture. The person in the different culture to ours will see that immorality, to us, as normal. A perfect example of this is how one goes through phases in life, often due to outside influences, and just as quickly as they picked it up, they passed that particular phase. These phases are almost always due to the piqued curiosity that one has to a particular subject or trend. But this hardly ever lasts, and certainly some phases aren’t widely accepted in mass as others. Insane Clown Posse, grunge, the Goths, techno, disco, are all funny examples of phases that only resurface due to social acceptance, or the re-acceptance, to them within societies and cultures.

Some point out that in the past, due to homosexual oppression or repression, depending on what camp you find yourself in, what’s the reason for the large number of men supposedly born gay. And that only in a more tolerant and accepting society is where more people can come out of the closet and “be free.” They will say the U.S. LGBTQ+ identification has risen sharply (from ~3.5% in 2012 to 9.3% in 2024 per Gallup), driven almost entirely by younger generations (especially bisexual women) who report higher acceptance in society. Underlying same-sex attraction rates appear stable across history and cultures (~2-10% report it), but visibility and self-identification surge where stigma drops.

While technically being true, being in a more tolerant society isn’t the reason for more people being open about their own sexuality. The way they identify correlates nearly every single time to same-sex attractions. Saying the reason for the sharp rise in 2013-2024 proves my point. As one of many examples, I only have to bring up the fact that there were many parents using their children for fame on the internet, claiming that they were a part of the LGBT spectrum. There have been hundreds of cases across America of children being coerced into taking puberty-blocking drugs by their parents or other adults in authority both in their immediate surroundings and on social media. School teachers being caught giving the children information on where to find resources to find these drugs, or information. PTA meetings where upset parents complain to the school boards on the curriculum involving teaching of LGBT ideas and introducing the children from kindergarten to middle school to this. One only has to remember what the news and social media called the “Don’t Say Gay” bill in Florida where it banned the teaching of this in school, and had nothing in the bill about not saying the word gay. Inciting many on social media to protest, encouraging kids to do the same. Thousands of videos of parents having gender reveal parties when the child is already a toddler or older. The list goes on to an exhausting degree, but the point being that this was all on social media. 
Being that this was on social media, where nearly every child in the west has access and is influenced by, this is the cause in the rise in this particular orientation to be majorly caused by outside influences that the child was exposed to, not something gained in the womb.
