Remember This?: Muslim Father and Mother Attempt to Kill Daughter, Nothing Out of The Ordinary In Islam

Lacey, Washington 2024 United States, But that doesn’t happen here in America so we should probably ignore it right?

Ishan Ali and his wife Zahraa Subhi Mohsin Ali were charged with
While their daughter was attempting to get a ride to a shelter both parents found her and the father proceeded to attack her, beating her and choking her to death under a tree in in the vicinity of a her school timberline high school.

Her boyfriend attempted to stop the attack with no success. His father accounting , the story to the police over the phone said“There’s dad. There’s the daughter underneath dad,”. Multiple video recordings of this incident took place where you can see the father choking the daughter with ” her face in the dirt”. I bring this up because this reminds me of multiple stories in the past including a law and order special victims unit show episode that I find to be amusing. I’ll explain later. But the daughter explained to the police that she has made multiple previous reports about her parents attempts at taking her life.

This being because she refused to engage m d arranged marriage where she was to be sent back to iraq to marry as per usual a much older husband. Her refusal of her Parents’ orders in islamic law it’s set to bring shame upon the parents, and family. In Islam disobedient , children means you are not being muslim proper parents, and depending on the situation could even bring shame upon the entire Umma, Islamic community. If the shame is minor enough, it can be handled with a beating in some cases, even rape of the daughter or son. But most often to deflecting a shame being brought on the parents the child is killed. In Quran 18:80-81, a man named Khidr, kills a boy in for perceived predestined disbelief in islam. “And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief. So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy.”.

In the Hadith, ibn Kathir’s commentary on this Surah says “The boy Al-Khidr killed was destined to be a disbeliever from the day he was created.”. And in Tafsir Al-Jalalayns commentary on the Surah, “And as for the boy, his parents were believers and We feared lest he should overwhelm them with insolence and disbelief — for he is as [described] by the hadīth of Muslim, ‘He was [incorrigibly] disposed to disbelief, and had he lived [longer] this [disposition of his] would have oppressed them, because of their love for him, they would have followed him in such [a path of disbelief]’.”.

This is what is used to allow for such killings known as “honor killings”, here in the west, to take place. Even the mere accusation of Such disorder can get you killed. In many countries in the East and far East, the society has it’s deep rooted Honor and Shame cultures. Where to shame the tribe, community, or family is tantamount to the shame a beloved family member being convicted of pedophilia. (I use this parallel because there’s not much shame the west has anymore, only with extremes.)

In pakistan alone thousands of cases where people are killed in mob violence or single attacks because of the mere accusation that they were being disrespectful towards Muhammad. Many women fear being raped not because of the horrible experience, but the fear of the shame it will bring to the family and Umma. Hundreds of women and girls are murdered by their husbands or male family members for bringing shame to the Umma. Many more are placed in prison for bringing the rape to light because of the mainstream Islamic opinion that a woman’s testimony is worth half of a mans.

The biggest one here in america involving honor killing, was the case of Fathima Rifqa Bary, an at the time 17 year old runaway in New Albany, Ohio. She ran away because of multiple attempted murders by her parents for converting to Christianity. A story that is all too familiar to those who pay attention to the attacks on christians by Muslim family members or neighbors in Islamic countries.

She ran away in July,19,2009, and it brought a lot of attention in the media. As per usual the Islam defenders went on a media hopping spree to claim this has nothing to do with Islam. Saying that the girl should leave the protective custody and go back home because her parents miss her and care for her. This led to custody battles in court that eventually held out long enough so that Rifqa was able to turn 18, allowing her to make her own decision and leave her parents legally. Many so called experts, and even politicians that knew nothing of Islam claimed her story was over blown and she was over reacting and our much of media fell for this also wanting her to go back home. Her own father denying Rifqas accusation, saying “there is no such thing as honor killing”. Muhammad did say “war’s deceit.”, (Sahih al-Bukhari 3030), and they are to follow his commands and acts so can you really blame him. In her book hiding in the light, she recounted the verbal and physical threats from her parents and also being molested back home in Sri Lanka by a family member.
I did mention that it amuses me hearing about this in TV shows, such as in Law and Order special victims unit. I was once watching this episode with my girl on how a Muslim family plotted to kill their daughter. The father, an Afghan diplomat, had his son commit the act and the father was seen as the real bad guy in all of this. What I found hilarious was while watching this,I would see the show writers attempt at remaining PC,  having detective Elliot Stabler saying about the son, “His culture didn’t program him to kill….”. His twisted sense of honor.” And “His revenge for her leaving home.”, and other characters like the Muslim counselor named Professor Husseini, in an interrogation with the two detectives talking about back home with the taliban taking over and the many acts they have done. Saying what they did has ” nothing in the Quran that allows them to do that.”. Because , of course , the taliban aren’t real muslims, they twist the scriptures that say, “But the recompense of those who fight against God and his apostle, and study to act corruptly in the earth, shall be, that they shall be slain, or crucified, or have their alternate hands and feet cut off, or be banished the land. This will be their disgrace in this world, and in the world to come they shall suffer a great punishment.” Quran 5:53. A part of Sharia Law that the Taliban most definitely carried out in 1996 through 2001. Maybe they got that part of the Quran wrong. Either way, seeing this case reminded me of stories like these and makes me realize that people of the west are idiots.
