Quran 9:111 “Verily God hath purchased of the true believers their souls, and their substance, promising them the enjoyment of paradise; on condition that they fight for the cause of God: Whether they slay or be slain, the promise for the same is assuredly due by the law, and the gospel, and the Koran. And who performeth his contract more faithfully than God? Rejoice therefore in the contract which ye have made. This shall be great happiness.”.

(Sahih al-Bukhari 2785, narrated by Abu Huraira):
Narrated Abu Huraira: A man came to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and said, “Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward).” He replied, “I do not find such a deed.” Then he added, “Can you, while the Muslim fighter is in the battle-field, enter your mosque to perform prayers without cease and fast and never break your fast?” The man said, “But who can do that?” Abu Huraira added, “The Mujahid’s horse gets reward for the steps it takes in Allah’s Cause.”.
Even the horse gets his reward as long as the animal is participating in Jihad. Jihad gets affirmed, indirectly, as the best thing you can do as a Muslim in, Sahih al-Bukhari 2784, narrated by Aisha):
Narrated `Aisha: (That she said), “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! We consider Jihad as the best deed. Should we not fight in Allah’s Cause?” He said, “The best Jihad (for women) is Hajj-Mabrur (i.e. Hajj which is done according to the Prophet’s tradition and is accepted by Allah).”.
Since women are rarely seen as Ghazis in comparison to the men, this shows an alternative for women. Because Islam is tolerant and Inclusive for women, don’t you know. But this doesn’t change what is regarded as the greatest deed for Allah. Even purifying you from the sin of Shirk in Islam, associating praters or someone equal to Allah, This includes images. Hence why many “terrorist” are spotted or who have said to been engaged in other sins in Islam like drinking or going to strip clubs, before their terror attack.

But never mind what the Islamic sources say, what jihad is, what’s your Jihad?

I’m sure most people remember the propaganda campaign to “retake” or “redefine” the word jihad, that occurred around 2012, to instead mean the more literal meaning of “struggle” or to “strive”, rather than what Muslims for 14 centuries have known it to mean in context. This was a deliberate push by the people who know so much that just isn’t so but of course, orchestrated by CAIR’s (Counsel on American and Islamic relations) Chicago division. An organization, that has known ties with Islamic terrorists, Ghazis. But pay no mind to that fact, you stupid Americans Kufar, you don’t want to be called an Islamaphobe do you?

Anyway, this trend of redefining Jihad as purely meaning struggle snowballed into hundreds of posts and videos of suburban mom’s and college age minds,  posting about how they we’re involved in a jihad of going to the gym or the jihad of being a single mother, or my jihad of eating healthy on a particular day. This virtually whitewashed the term Even further than the many jokes on tv and all the politics after 9/11. But as you’re sure to understand by now, this is not what it means in contexts, and any fool who tells you otherwise is deceiving you, either purposely or by their own willful/blissful ignorance of reality. The oblivious ones are only parodying what they heard on tv or from other muslims, the muslims themselves can also fall under this category due to the centuries of deception from the Imams and Sheiks and other teachers of Islam. But there are those who know of their deception.

They are playing on your ignorance of other cultures due to our bubble , we call the western world. the word jihad has multiple meetings , Just like words in english or in any other language. to struggle or to strive in that context is a secondary meaning, In the Quran and hadith, jihad primarily means warfare in the service of Allah or the Umma, or more Commonly, or begrudgingly, known as a “holy war”. The fact that people in the west see it only as meaning purely a struggle rather than the primary meaning, exposes a sort of bigotry of low expectations that the west has when trying to understand other cultures , besides its own. Due to the Wests dominance and positive influence it’s had over the rest of the world when it comes to positive development. We have been in this bubble so long that anyone that’s not in this bubble, we see as less than or less fortunate. As if when a culture other than our own does something the west sees as wrong or immoral, it can’t be their fault and they don’tknow any better. Which may be true in some aspects, but to ignore basics, such as what I just explained, is foolish. As if the culture that the ideology of Islam produces, doesn’t have the complexity to come up with words, like Jihad, that have dual meanings. But I digress. By the way, to point out the hypocrisy, the German word for struggle is “Kampf”. Maybe we should redefine what Adolf’s book “Mein Kampf” (My Struggle), and make hash-tag posts about it. After all, it just mean struggle, right?
